Earth Day 2020
Time & Location
About the Event
Join Lee Richardson Zoo as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of Earth Day! We’re taking it old school; we’ll be returning to the 1970’s when Earth Day was founded to add to the fun. Don’t forget to show up in your best 70’s attire for the celebration!
-Join in on the fun, with interactive discovery tables hosted by community exhibitors from SW KS.
-Participate in a community art project made from recycled materials; in partnership with Garden City Arts
-Discover keeper chats to learn more about the animals of Lee Richardson Zoo
-Become a Conservation Hero by donating your spare change to support the Snow Leopard Trust. Together, we can make a difference for wildlife!
-Guest performance, Jay and Leslie’s Laughing Matters (pre-registration required), and roving guest performer, Richard Renner and his Recycle Cycle, funded in part by KCAIC grant.
