HABITAT: Dry, well-drained soil areas of Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas.
CONSERVATION STATUS: Least Concern
FUN FACT: Tarantulas catch their prey with speed, not webbing. They eat almost anything that is the right size. Their primary prey includes small insects.
