Coloring Sheets Due July 13th
Winners Announced July 16th

Celebrate World Snake Day with us by entering our 4th Annual World Snake Day Coloring Contest. 

The contest is for snake fans 12 and under who want to be entered for a chance to win a fabulous snake themed prize from the Safari Shoppe and Friends of Lee Richardson Zoo! 

First Place will receive a symbolic snake adoption and a snake plushie. 


Second and Third Places will receive a snake plush or toy.  
 

Winners will be voted on by Zoo and FOLRZ Staff and announced on World Snake Day, Thursday, July 16th. 

Pick up physical copies of coloring sheets at the Safari Shoppe or the Finnup Center for Conservation or download here to print at home.  

Digital scans can be emailed to emily.sexson@gardencityks.us or physical copies can be dropped off at either the Safari Shoppe or Finnup Center by Monday July 13th.

⭐ Best of all, FOLRZ members receive exclusive clues by email each Friday before the ducks are released, giving them a head start on the hunt!

Fourth of July
at the Zoo

The West Green of Lee Richardson Zoo will be open for extended hours on Saturday, July 4th, for the Municipal Band concert and fireworks viewing.  The 4th Street vehicle entrance gate and Arches will close at 8:00 pm. Vehicle admission is free from 6:00-8:00.  After 8:00 pm, the 5th Street exit gate will be open for latecomers to enter free of charge.

 

The Municipal Band concert will start at approximately 8:00 pm on the West Green, and the fireworks display begins at dark. No personal fireworks, pets, or alcohol are allowed in the zoo.

 

The Finnup Center for Conservation Education, Zoo administrative office, and FOLRZ office will be closed on Friday, July 3rd, and reopen on Monday, July 6th at 8:00 am
