HABITAT:  Dry forest, coastal regions, scrub and semi-desert areas of Madagascar.

CONSERVATION STATUS: Least Concern
                                                   

FUN FACT: 

Tenrecs go through torpor when it is cold.  Torpor is a hibernation-like inactivity of the body. They are excellent climbers, capable of climbing trees to find food.
